Lego Batman Legacy of the Dark Knight: Bat Symbol Locations & Interactive Tracking Guide
Gotham's skyline has been hiding them the whole time — Bat-Symbols in LEGO Batman: Legacy of the Dark Knight are 50 glowing golden coins embossed with Batman's logo, tucked onto rooftops, cable wires, clock towers, and factory chimneys across every open-world district.
They're the only collectible the game's Radio Towers don't reveal — meaning no map markers, no shortcuts, no detective vision help. Every single one must be found by eye.
All 50 Bat Symbol locations are documented and ready to be tracked on Map Master's LEGO Batman: Legacy of the Dark Knight interactive maps.
Two Rewards at Two Thresholds
- 25 Bat-Symbols — unlocks the "The idea was to be a symbol" trophy and achievement. No specific order or district required; any 25 from anywhere in Gotham qualifies.
- All 50 Bat-Symbols — builds the T-Rex statue in the Batcave, a nod to the giant mechanical dinosaur from Batman #35 (the Dinosaur Island issue) that has sat in the Batcave across decades of Batman media. The statue assembles progressively — each Bat-Symbol adds a piece — making it a visual tracker of collection progress.
How to Collect Them
No gadget, character ability, or puzzle solution is required for any Bat-Symbol. Walking, gliding, or grappling directly into contact with one collects it instantly.
The challenge is purely spatial — most are placed on mid-level ledges, suspended between cables, atop billboard faces, or hovering above chimney stacks.
The Glide ability (unlocked through story progression) makes reaching the elevated ones dramatically faster, and the game's grapple mechanic reaches most ledges directly from street level without needing to climb first.

- East End — Amusement Mile — 7 (the most of any district, including atop the giant red lobster, the Snowy Cones Ice Cream building, and the clock tower pole)
- Tricorner — 6 (Kord Industries warehouse, factory chimney, rooftop tanks)
- Old Gotham South — 6 (radio tower, fountain stairs, Hotel Old Gotham balcony)
- Old Gotham North — 6 (GMV skybridge, Wayne Tower balcony, crane-accessible lamppost)
- Old Gotham West — 5 (cable above road, Flugelheim building rooftop, elevated balconies)
- The Cauldron South — 5 (Keystone Industries warehouse roof, elevated railroad structure)
- The Cauldron North — Ace Chemicals — 5 (inside the letter C of the ACE sign, above train tracks)
- Newtown — 5 (Water and Power rooftop, bridge between buildings, fountain stream)
- Gotham Village — Robinson Park — 5 (botanical gardens roof, Gray Towers summit)
The Vertical Gotham Problem
Most missed Bat-Symbols aren't missed because they're hidden behind locked doors — they're missed because players never look up.
Gotham's districts are designed with several layers of vertical height: street level, first-roof level, upper-roof level, and cable/antenna level. The most common mistake is clearing a district at street level and assuming it's done.
Every district sweep should include at least one high-altitude glide across the full area looking down — most Bat-Symbols become visible from above in a way they never do from the street.
